Here are some pictures from my trip to Guyana that I thought you all might enjoy.

This is the famous Alliance Rd.

Chinee and his grandson, Daniel

A boy fishing in the black water of Kamuni creek

My swimming partner from Kamuni creek and myself

The hut where we stayed in the jungle. We saw several monkeys and heard some baboons, but we didn't get any pictures.

That's me eating some coconut jelly for the first time

Going down the river into the jungle

Some school children in Timehri (they love getting their picture taken).

That's all for now. . .

One Happy Day

About a week and a half ago was a very happy day for me. That day was August 2nd. It was the end of Aletheia Springs, but that wasn't what made me happy. That day was the beginning of something else, something very wonderful. As happy as that day was there is another day coming up that will be even happier. All of these things make for some very exciting news. That news is that the most beautiful, amazing girl has agreed to marry me. I am the happiest man alive because I'm going to be married to Stephanie.
Here are some pictures:

Here are some pictures of my recent camping trip with my family and a couple guests; namely, Stephanie and Jamie.
We went to Mt. Rogers which is the highest point in VA, 5729 ft. It was a very pretty hike, but the view was somewhat disappointing. It was neat to be able to say we were at the highest point in VA, but there were all kinds of trees on the peak that made it impossible to see much of anything. There were several places along the way that afforded a very nice view. At one point we were caught in a nice little shower. We found some shelter under a clump of evergreen trees, but we still ended up getting pretty wet.

All in all it was a very nice hike and camping trip (I will say that the company contributed greatly to the experience).

I have as of right now completed all of the requirements to obtain my bachelor's degree in mathematics. Less than an hour ago I finished my last exam. I have been working on this degree for a long time, and I am quite happy to be done!
